Linnea Appleby is president of PDQ Management Solutions, Inc. in Sarasota, Florida.
Linnea formed PDQ Management Solutions to serve a growing number of owners who are looking for expert leadership, experience and guidance in successful facility management.
Linnea began her career in the storage industry in 1998 when Storageworld, L.P., DBA as Storage Spot, began developing and acquiring storage facilities in the southeastern United States. Linnea’s role with the Company began initially with the responsibility of opening 25 of the 26 newly constructed and newly acquired properties, to the role of Regional Manager. She then took on the role of Director of Field Support & Standardization with Storage Spot. In that capacity, her primary function was to create forms, manuals, handbooks, and document policy that together comprised Storage Spot’s policies & procedures.
Linnea went on to become Vice President of Operations for Storage Spot. She was responsible for management activities from start-up through disposition, and managed 1,750,000 square feet in 26 facilities under the Storage Spot name. Linnea oversaw 4 Area/Regional Managers and Storage Spots field operations. Furthermore, she produced the company’s newsletter, developed signage, coordinated collateral marketing material and managed the company’s monthly reporting requirements. Linnea was also responsible to develop, coordinate and implement ongoing training programs for Storage Spot’s Property’s and Regional Managers.
Linnea holds a BS in Finance from the University of South Florida, is a faculty member for the National Self Storage Association’s Manager Certification Course, a presenter for the Self Storage Education Network (SSEN) programs and a frequent speaker/presenter at various industry trade shows and events. Linnea is a past president and active member in her local Toastmaster club.
Linnea's background prior to her employment with Storage Spot includes extensive experience in the food service industry as well as financial planning for both businesses and individuals.
